A relaxed patisserie by day, an intimate bar at night

Gimme Some Sugar Custom Cake Studio recently expanded its business model with Gimme Some Sugar Bake Shoppe, a dessert destination for guests craving nostalgic and seasonal treats, offering custom and prix fixe menus available daily. Even those with diet restrictions will find something to satisfy from its daily selection of vegan and gluten-free items.

The bright 1,400-square-foot bakeshop features a variety of sweet offerings including cookies, tarts, cupcakes, cheesecakes, cake pops and macarons in a relaxed patisserie setting. By night, the shop transforms into an intimate dessert and wine bar. Aside from coffee, tea and chocolate drinks, patrons can also check out champagne, wine and craft beer after sundown, making Gimme Some Sugar a place to indulge in s’mores macarons and coffee with friends, bond with the family over fresh-baked cookies and milk, or sip champagne with a date.

The expanding business’ recipe for success involves two best friends from college — one with talent as a cake and pastry artist and the other armed with entrepreneurial and customer service savvy. Kristen LoVullo and Ashley Mastowski founded their custom cake studio in 2009. Since then, the brand has made its mark with dessert designs for a number of celebrity clients including P. Diddy, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and Kid Rock.

Gimme Some Sugar is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to midnight and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s also available for private functions such as cocktail receptions, holiday gatherings, baby and bridal showers and corporate events.
