Emily Blunt and John Krasinski add to their portfolio
Emily Blunt has been quite busy — she’ll be tearing up the big screen this year — but apparently she still had time to go house shopping. She and husband John Krasinski have spent $2.575 million for a home in Hollywood Hills West.
Built in 1965, the house sits on more than a third of an acre with a courtyard entry, stone patios, a lanai, a swimming pool and spa and a flat lawn. Within the 3,483 square feet of living space are a media/family room, an office, four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Blunt, 31, will star in the upcoming films “Edge of Tomorrow” with Tom Cruise and “Into the Woods” with Johnny Depp. She starred in the 2012 films “Arthur Newman,” “Looper” and “The Five-Year Engagement.”
Krasinski, 34, starred in the TV series “The Office” (2005-13). He appeared in the 2012 film “Promised Land,” which he co-wrote with star Matt Damon.
The couple own other property, including a getaway home on five bucolic acres in Ojai.
Barbara Palmer of Keller Williams was the listing agent of the house they just bought. Richard Ehrlich of Westside Estate Agency represented Blunt and Krasinski.
Leaving another ZIP Code?
Jason Priestley, who made a name for himself playing Brandon Walsh on “Beverly Hills, 90210” in the 1990s, has sold a home in Toluca Lake for $2 million.
The Mediterranean-style house, reached by flagstone walkways, has arched windows and garage doors. Double doors open to an airy two-story foyer with a staircase in the 3,266-square-foot home, which was built in 1990 and has since been refurbished.
The house has living, dining and family rooms, a loft and a kitchen with an island and breakfast area. There are three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The master bedroom suite includes a stone fireplace and a wooden cathedral ceiling.
The less than a quarter of an acre lot holds a swimming pool, a spa and a covered patio.
Priestley, 44, has starred on the Canadian sitcom “Call Me Fitz” since 2010. His acting credits include the films “The Last Rites of Ransom Pride” (2010), “Love and Death on Long Island” (1997) and “Tombstone” (1993). He also has directed for television and the Web.
He bought the property in 2007 for $2.14 million.
Craig Strong of John Aaroe Group handled the transaction.
Where he can let guard down
Steve Nash of the Los Angeles Lakers bought a house in Manhattan Beach for $4.8 million.
Built in 1992, the three-bedroom, four-bathroom home has 4,175 square feet of living space. The long, narrow house features a two-story entry, an indoor waterfall and a three-stop dumbwaiter.
All that will soon be changing, however. The point guard plans to tear down the dated-looking house and build new.
Nash, 40, started with the Phoenix Suns in 1996 as a first-round draft pick. He moved on to the Dallas Mavericks and returned to the Suns before landing with the Lakers two years ago.
An apt free-throw and three-point shooter, he has received multiple Most Valuable Player and All-Star honors from the National Basketball Assn. Injuries sidelined Nash for much of the 2013-14 season.
Jack Gillespie of South Bay Brokers was the listing agent. Cynthia de Garceau of Watermark Properties represented Nash.
Pulling up stakes in Hollywood Hills
Nicole Sullivan of the series “Wendell and Vinnie” and her husband, actor Jason Packham, listed their house in Hollywood Hills at $1.699 million and were in escrow in less than two weeks.
Set on about three-quarters of an acre, the French country-style estate includes a main house from the 1920s, chauffeur’s quarters, a guesthouse and a swimming pool. There are five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a sauna in 3,444 square feet of living space.
Inside the main house, the updated kitchen opens to a window-side breakfast room. Views take in the Hollywood sign and the Griffith Observatory.
Among her scores of credits, Sullivan has done voice work on “Family Guy” since 2000, was on “Cougar Town” for two years and starred on “Rita Rocks” (2008-09). She was on “The King of Queens,” as was Packham.
The 44-year-old comic actress will be in the 2015 animated film “The Penguins of Madagascar.”
Boni Bryant and Joe Reichling of Sotheby’s International Realty are the listing agents.
Where a Lion used to sleep
Reggie Bush of the Detroit Lions seems pretty serious about selling his home in Hollywood Hills West. He Tweeted it out to his nearly 3 million followers.
The tri-level contemporary, priced at $6 million, sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and has 360-degree views encompassing Long Beach, Santa Catalina Island, Malibu and the mountains. Glass entry doors open to a soaring living room.
The penthouse level makes up the master bedroom suite with glass doors that open to a deck. There are three bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and an elevator within the nearly 5,000 square feet.
The property is entertainment-ready with a home theater, a swimming pool and a spa.
The former USC tailback, 29, started his pro career with the New Orleans Saints in 2006. He later moved to the Miami Dolphins and joined the Lions last year.
Bush bought the home for $4.7 million in 2007, public records show.
The listing agent is Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olson & Associates.
Out of this world in Los Feliz
Stephanie Savage, creator and executive producer of “Astronaut Wives Club,” has sold her home in Los Feliz for $1.81 million.
Built in the 1920s, the artfully redone house is set on a knoll near Griffith Park. The 2,228-square-foot, two-story, Spanish-style home features an office/den, an updated kitchen with a butler’s pantry, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. There are living room and patio fireplaces.
The tidy lot includes mature trees, flagstone steps, lawn, iceberg roses and landscape lighting. In the backyard, an intricate tile border connects the swimming pool and a spa near an outdoor kitchen and dining area.
Savage has produced and/or written for such shows as “Hart of Dixie” (2011-present), “Gossip Girl” (2007-12) and “The O.C.” (2003-07).
She bought the property in 2009 for $1.545 million, public records show.
Jeff Yarbrough of Keller Williams was the listing agent. William Barker of Coldwell Banker represented the buyer.
