Billy Ray Cyrus house lists in Toluca Lake at $5.995 million
Country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus has put a Toluca Lake house owned in a family trust on the Multiple Listing Service for $5.995 million after it failed to find a buyer as a pocket listing.
The walled and gated property of more than half an acre centers on a Tuscan-style house built in 2007 and designed by Montecito architect Bob Easton.
Reached by a tree-lined brick driveway, the Old World-inspired home features wrought iron work, copper rain gutters, a Juliet balcony, columns and arches. Ivy climbs parts of the walls.
The 8,700 square feet of living space includes a winding central staircase, a guitar display room, a home theater, multiple fireplaces, six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. There’s a security system with cameras.
Mature palm trees and landscaping, a swimming pool, skateboard ramps and lawn complete the grounds.
Cyrus, 53, helped popularize line dancing with the video for his worldwide hit “Achy Breaky Heart.” The onetime steelworker put his moves on display on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2007 partnering with ballroom dancer Karina Smirnoff. He is the father of singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus.
Thomas Atamian of Dilbeck Real Estate is the listing agent.
