Marisa Tomei endorses the buddy system in get-out-the-vote ad

Share

Marisa Tomei is one of the latest celebs to get into the election game with a humorous video showing how friends can help friends get out and vote on election day.

The idea is to offer a hand so that all who are eligible can cast a ballot, and to spread the “I’m voting” message through social media. That said, the actress’ babysitter character might be a bit too enthusiastic for the likes of the young fellow she intends to tend to.

Rad video games and Clooney-authorized inflammables, anyone?

Though the Tomei video, above, and the social-media app that’s partnered with it come courtesy of progressive group MoveOn.org, the get-out-the-vote message is one that should resonate on both sides of the aisle come Tuesday.

Also out there are Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt, who hit a Colorado campaign office last weekend to energize workers on behalf of President Obama.

Hamm also took the opportunity to record a vote-early video targeting Coloradans, showing the “Obama” box prominently checked in all the graphics. Early voting in that state ends Friday.
