Comedian Amy Schumer received a hefty dose of the sancti-mommies when she posted a picture of herself performing stand-up this week.

The nasty comments came flooding in on Monday after the “I Feel Pretty” star proclaimed she was “back,” which wouldn’t have been that remarkable if it hadn’t been a few weeks postpartum.

“I’ve always wanted to be mom shamed!!!!” the 37-year-old star wrote in response to the comments on her Instagram photo.

Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, welcomed their son, Gene Attell Fischer, earlier this month and the actress has been candid about her first-time mom experiences and difficult pregnancy.

In her Netflix special “Growing,” she quipped that she was touring while pregnant only because she was contractually obligated to do so. That could very well have been the case on Monday.

Though many offered compliments or were supportive of the working mom, even quipping about what a room to pump breast milk might look like at a comedy club, others were not so kind. Many commenters tore her down for returning to work in the so-called “fourth trimester” and doled out unsolicited advice.

Schumer is not the first celebrity mom to deal with toxic mom-shaming online, nor will she be the last.

Chrissy Teigen was crucified for stepping out for an event just days after giving birth to her first child in 2016 and has made an art of clapping back at haters. The Kardashian-Jenner clan is also frequently criticized for their parenting decisions because of their omnipresence. Several of them ignored it, but sometimes do engage when they feel necessary.
