Rapper Killer Mike: ‘If you’re voting for Trump or Hillary Clinton, you’re voting for the same thing’
The rapper Killer Mike, one half of the duo Run the Jewels, had been one of Bernie Sanders’ most outspoken advocates in the campaign. It’s clear that Sanders’ loss still doesn’t sit well with him, and he’s immensely dissatisfied with the remaining candidates.
In remarks to TMZ, Killer Mike said that he has “not decided yet” about who he’s thinking of voting for, but it will “definitely not” be Trump or even Hillary Clinton.
“If you’re voting for Trump or Hillary Clinton, you’re voting for the same thing,” he said.
Killer Mike elaborated that he was talking specifically about the history of American military interventionism and that “we had one candidate this year, who had a strong chance of winning, who was anti-growing war, and that was Sanders, and we didn’t vote him in, so we’re getting what we asked for.”
In terms of Trump, Mike said the presidential candidate’s outlandish remarks about “2nd Amendment people” and saying that President Obama personally founded ISIS is “crazy.”
“If you listen to Fox News, you hear the wildest [stuff] every day. So, my thing is, Donald Trump, essentially, is repeating the same stuff I hear when I watch Fox News,” the rapper said.
