Highlights from Jimmy Kimmel’s week in Brooklyn

Jimmy Kimmel clearly doesn’t want anyone in Brooklyn to fuggedabout him.

All week long, Kimmel has been broadcasting his ABC talk show from the borough where he was born. The first time he brought the show to Brooklyn, in 2012, Kimmel welcomed his idol, David Letterman. This time, despite a last-minute cancellation by Donald Trump, Kimmel has also pulled out all the stops -- even recruiting former “Late Show” bandleader Paul Shaffer and stagehand Biff Henderson to take part in the fun.

Here are a few highlights.

Monday

With his sidekick Guillermo, Kimmel donned a tutu and tights for a private ballet lesson from Misty Copeland, principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre. Kimmel hammed it up -- and Copeland admired the comedian’s “gorgeous” legs. In another segment, Los Angeles kids and New York kids weighed in on each other’s cities, sounding a lot like very young characters in “Annie Hall.”

In honor of an appearance on the show by fellow Brooklynite Jay Z, the team at “Jimmy Kimmel Live” asked 99 people on the borough’s streets about their problems. The host also got a tour of the Bronx Zoo from Tracy Morgan, who joked he had bought the place with money from his Wal-Mart settlement. At least we think he was joking.

Wednesday

On “Back to the Future” day, Kimmel scored the booking of the millennium: Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd cruised onto the stage at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in a DeLorean and, reprising their characters from the beloved film, marveled at how little has actually changed since 1985.

The same night, Kimmel welcomed another transplanted Brooklynite, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who impersonated Larry David, opened up about his spiritual beliefs and called for an end to the war on drugs. (Maybe things have changed since 1985 after all?)

Thursday

Bradley Cooper reminisced about his pre-mega-fame days playing Scrabble with Kimmel and Dax Shepard. Meanwhile Joy Behar talked about her return to “The View,” ripped Trump and Mike Huckabee and gushed over Sanders.

Friday

To wrap up his week in New York, Kimmel is welcoming Howard Stern. Expect some Jay Leno-bashing to ensue.

Kimmel, a lifelong Mets fan, will also welcome the World Series-bound team to the show.
