Honey Boo Boo Child: Keeping track of her snack essentials

Share

Did anyone happen to catch Honey Boo Boo Child and her family on their new show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” on TLC last night? The show chronicles the Georgia family of “Toddlers and Tiaras” alum Alana Thompson as they help Alana, a.k.a. Honey Boo Boo Child, on her quest to becoming a beauty queen.

On last night’s premier episode, Honey Boo Boo Child and her family visit the “Redneck Games” fair, where sister “Pumpkin” (Lauryn) bobbed for raw pig’s feet, Alana and her sister “Chubbs” (Jessica) belly-flopped into a mud bath and Alana’s mother, June, bid on junk food at an auction.

That’s right, there are such things as food auctions and the Thompsons visit them to buy snacks for the family. A fast-talking auctioneer auctions off chips, candy and cakes to a serious group of bidders in fold-out chairs.

There were plenty of moments to remember, or maybe try to forget, from last night’s episode, but one part of the show that stood out was the sheer amount of snackage going on at the Thompson residence. If you weren’t keeping tabs on the Honey Boo Boo Child diet last night, here are the essentials:

Chips Ahoy cookies, mini lemon bundt cakes and potato chips bought at the junk food auction, neon orange cheese puffs for breakfast, pork rinds for lounging on the couch, and chicken nuggets.

People may have been appalled at the Thompsons’ choice of munchies, but snack lovers know better than to judge. I guess we all have our favorites.
