WINE OF THE WEEK

2007 Adega Cooperativa de Ponte de Lima Vinho Verde Adamado

The white wine from Portugal is crisp and refreshing and pairs well with seafood.
July 16, 2008

Vinho Verde is a crisp, slightly prickly white wine from Portugal meant to be drunk young and chilled on a summer day. Its lively acidity and scent of pears and wildflowers make it especially refreshing in the heat. Made from a blend of loureiro, trajadura and pederna grapes, it's wonderful with a fish soup, a bowl of steamed mussels or some grilled yellowtail.
