Sidewalk sales are fixtures of some neighborhoods, but in the trendy, spendy design district of La Cienega Boulevard, such events take on a more glamorous guise. Hence, the courtyard sale in the garden between Pat McGann Gallery and Hollywood at Home on Thursday and Friday.

If you love pillows and throws, catch this: Among the highlights of the sale are Indian dhurries, Bolivian blankets and batik and embroidery pillows from Pat McGann, who travels the world searching for unusual textiles.

Items will be discounted by 50%, reducing the price of cut-velvet Missoni Home pillows like the red one shown above to $112.50. (The curlicue-backed cafe chairs are $1,250 for a set of four.)
