Alpha, Apt2B pop-up celebrates Small Business Saturday
The Apt2B + Alpha Home for the Holidays pop-up shop -- tucked into a well-appointed corner of the Satine boutique on West 3rd Street -- will be holding a sale Nov. 24 in celebration of Small Business Saturday.
“If it can fit in a shopping bag, it’s 25% off,” Apt2B founder Mat Herman told us when we stopped by earlier this week, holding aloft a brown paper sack big enough to stow a countertop microwave (which is about the only thing for the high-class bachelor pad they don’t have on offer).
That puts in play just about everything the two itinerant retailers have showcased in the back corner of Satine -- save the couches, bed headboard and larger wall hangings.
Here are just a few of the brown-bag-worthy items we spotted on a recent pop-in to the pop-up: Pantone-themed Christmas ornaments by Seletti, camouflage and blaze orange Jack Spade man bags, cocktail shakers, Moleskine notebooks, holiday cards, throw pillows, iPhone covers, T-shirts, hipster headgear, books for boys and several wall clocks -- including one sporting a mustache design.
Strategic self-baggers, particular packers and artful arrangers of merchandise, this could be your big chance on Small Business Saturday.
Apt2B + Alpha Home for the Holidays pop-up, 8134 West 3rd St., open Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. through Dec. 31.
