You can soon buy baby bottles that look like beer bottles. Bad idea?
Babies don’t drink beer, and for good reason. But if you’d like for all the parents in your Mommy & Me class to give you dirty looks -- and question your sanity -- you can now at least give the illusion of handing your child a baby beer bottle.
Perpetual Kid, an online retailer, is listing a Chill, Baby Lil’ Lager Baby Bottle on its website. It’s a baby bottle made to look like a beer bottle. When your kid is at afternoon snack, it will look like he or she is throwing back a cold one.
Ideally, parents will fill the 10-ounce bottle with baby formula or milk, not beer -- because they have enough of a sense of humor to make their kids drink from a baby beer bottle, but they’re not crazy enough to give them actual beer. Which, again, would be bad. (Also bad: giving your dog beer. Just a reminder.)
The bottle is made of BPA-free, phthalate-free plastic and comes with a food-grade silicone nipple.
The for-baby beer bottle is $11.99 and is to be available in April.
If you are going to buy this for your baby, it’s only appropriate he or she wear a flannel shirt, a fake beard and some denim.
