The Little Door to open a location in Santa Monica
The Little Door, the West 3rd Street restaurant known as one of the best al fresco dining spots in the city, will open a second location in Santa Monica. The restaurant is slated to open in September, according to a release.
The new location, like the original, aims to capture the spirit of the south of France with terraces and dimly lighted dining rooms. We’re anticipating flea market antiques, long wooden tables and the sound of Champagne corks popping.
Existing executive chef T. Nicolas Peter will helm the new kitchen with dishes from the original location, such as the couscous royale, as well as some new items, including a Kobe prime tenderloin carpaccio.
The Little Door Santa Monica will be open daily from 5:30 p.m. There’s no word yet on an exact opening date, but we’ll keep you posted.
246 26th St., Santa Monica, www.thelittledoor.com.
