From the Archives: Kissing Jayne Mansfield
April 30, 1963: Singer Nelson Sardelli playfully kisses a scratch on the ankle of actress Jayne Mansfield.

Earlier that day, Mansfield had attended a five-minute divorce hearing with husband, bodybuilder and actor Mickey Hargitay in a Mexico court.
The divorce was ruled invalid in California. But afterward, Hargitay and Mansfield briefly reconciled, then separated.
Mansfield sued for the Mexican divorce to be recognized, winning in 1964.
