DeAndre Jordan to appear in ESPN the Magazine’s Body Issue
Clippers center DeAndre Jordan will be among the 24 athletes appearing in the seventh-annual edition of the Body Issue by ESPN the Magazine.
Jordan, who becomes a free agent July 1, has played for the Clippers his entire seven-season career. In 2014-15, he averaged career-highs in points (11.5), field goal percentage (71%) and rebounds (15).
It will be Jordan’s first appearance in the Body Issue, which will be available online July 6 and on newsstands everywhere July 10. Jordan’s teammate and good friend Blake Griffin appeared in the Body Issue in 2011.
Some of the other athletes featured in this edition include the Washington Nationals’ Bryce Harper, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kevin Love, the New York Giants’ Odell Beckham Jr. and two-time WNBA All-Star Brittney Griner.
“Our goal is to continue to evolve the issue year after year,” ESPN the Magazine and ESPN.com editor in chief Chad Millman said. “The ability to capture both the strength and vulnerability of these extraordinary athletes through such powerful images and introspective interviews is incredibly moving.”
