UCLA, Cal State Fullerton, Lake Elsinore picked as NCAA regional sites
Second-ranked UCLA and Cal State Fullerton have been selected as hosts for the NCAA baseball regionals, which begin Friday.
The Diamond, home of the Class-A Lake Elsinore Storm, was also named as a regional site. UC Santa Barbara will be the host.
The Bruins, the Pac-12 champions, closed their regular season with a 4-3 loss to Oregon on Sunday. UCLA finished 42-14 overall and 22-8 in conference play.
Fullerton, the Big West champion, won its last six games heading into the tournament. The Titans are 34-22 and 19-5 in Big West play.
Louisiana State, Illinois, Texas A&M, Miami, Dallas Baptist, Texas Christian, Florida, Houston, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Missouri State, Oklahoma State and Florida State will also host regionals.
The NCAA pairings will be announced Monday morning.
