Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near the Geysers in Northern California
A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Tuesday afternoon three miles from the Geysers, about 72 miles north of San Francisco, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 2:39 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.2 mile.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 13 miles from Clearlake, Calif., 14 miles from Healdsburg and 17 miles from Windsor.
In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
