Earthquake: 4.1 quake strikes near Rio Dell

A shallow magnitude 4.1 earthquake was reported Sunday morning 20 miles from Rio Dell, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:24 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 13.7 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 24 miles from Fortuna, 37 miles from Eureka and 41 miles from Bayside.
In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
