Crime alerts for Harbor City and nine other L.A. neighborhoods
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 10 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Eight neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Harbor City (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 1.0 over the last three months.
Westwood (I) topped the list of two neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 17 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 10.2 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for March 30–April 5, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
