Mother accused of kidnapping 10-year-old son from foster home
Law enforcement authorities Tuesday night were looking for 39-year-old woman suspected of kidnapping her 10-year-old boy outside his Palmdale foster home.
Nisshawn Murphy was ordered by a court to relinquish her parental right because she has several criminal convictions, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Her son was identified by the department as Matisse Murphy and was abducted shortly before 9 a.m. Monday.
The mother is believed to be driving a white four-door Ford Explorer with side steps and California license plate number 6VZX199, according to authorities.
Nisshawn Murphy has black hair, brown eyes and is 5 feet, 6 inches tall. She weighs 145 pounds, authorities said. Her son is 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 80 pounds.
