Woman barricades herself in L.A. home of ‘American Pie’ actor
A Los Angeles Police Department SWAT team responded to the Hollywood Hills home of “American Pie” actor Eddie Kaye Thomas on Wednesday afternoon after a house guest armed herself with a knife and barricaded herself in the residence, authorities said.
Thomas is best known for his role of Paul Finch in “American Pie,” about four friends who make a pact to lose their virginity before graduation. His character seduces the mother of Steve Stifler, one of his friends in the film played by Seann William Scott.
LAPD Lt. Andrew Neiman said police were called to the 2500 block of Hargrave Drive shortly after 1 p.m. but would not officially confirm who resided at the home.
The unidentified woman spent the night at the home, Neiman said. In the morning, when she was asked to leave, she refused and pulled a knife, and also destroyed property at the residence, officials said.
A SWAT team remained at the residence throughout the afternoon and were in contact with the woman, whom they were urging to surrender.
