Voters to replace ex-Assemblyman Mike Duvall
Voters in north Orange County on Tuesday will choose a replacement for former Assemblyman Mike Duvall (R-Yorba Linda), who resigned in September in the wake of a sex scandal.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the 72nd Assembly District, which includes all or parts of Anaheim, Brea, Fullerton, La Habra, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda.
Candidates are Orange County Supervisor Chris Norby, Republican; teacher John MacMurray, Democrat; and systems engineer Jane Rands, Green Party.
Norby is heavily favored in the strongly GOP district, in which the three Republican candidates in the Nov. 17 special primary together won nearly 70% of the ballots.
Results will be available at www.ocvote.com beginning shortly after polls close.
