A three-day gun battle between Indian forces and militants in Kashmir has left at least 10 soldiers and rebels dead, the Indian army said.
An army spokesman said soldiers came under heavy fire after they surrounded a militant hide-out in Shamsbari forest near the border with Pakistan on Friday. He said an officer and three Indian soldiers had been killed, as well as six separatists.
