1. And Bruce Ivins was not a "lone gunman". ABC News claims to have FOUR sources within the lab attesting to Iraq being the source of the anthrax. As a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY, ABC News needs to reveal those four sources: WHO WERE THE FOUR LABORATORY "INSIDERS" FEEDING ABC NEWS THE FALSE TEST RESULTS ?! THESE FOUR ARE ALL POTENTIALLY CO-CONSPIRATORS, AND LIKELY POSE A REAL THREAT TO AMERICA'S HOMELAND SECURITY !!

2. No surprise at all, that there is one country that uses biowaepons against it's own people. And, trust me, the entire kabuki theatre being played out in the press has but one aim -- to keep you people in fear. The sub-text is: you may be next.

3. This article makes a lot of sense. The biggest threat in any system is internal - it doesn't matter whether you are talking computers, hand guns, piracy, whatever.

5. The article makes good points: the anthrax came from Ft Detrick. And, MRSA is a much bigger threat than bioattack in any case.

6. What is happening in the Caucuses shows the world has not changed very much as we would have hoped. It would be a mistake to do our with such a program, however it should be trimmed and made more efficient.

7. ivins was not the one who mailed the anthrax. the key to the investigation lies with kathy nguyen. find out how she died of anthrax, who were the people that she knew, and where she traveled in ny/nj and you may solve the case. kathy: my boyfriend will not let call a cab from his house. kathy: he's an egyptian. kathy: they treat women that way. kathy:i know a lot of egyptian men. kathy: i like to smell things. i believe you are right about only one thing, that we are the source of the anthrax and that we have been hoist on our own petard. but you are as wrong as kristof.

8. The Russian biological weapons progam killed thousands of civilians during the anthrax release at Sverdlovsk in 1979. This is not to mention use in assination attempts and unknown death on lab accidents. This is chroniled in the books, Bioterror" by Ken Alibek and "Bioterrors". While the money is excessive and every county does not need a biodefense SWAT team at hand, these same tools allow for rapid monitoring of diseases as west niles.

9. 2 days after Chernobyl, while the US was lambasting the USSR for being secretive, there was a little commented on confession from our government that in the 1940's while conducting an experiment the Us released a cloud of radiation that was accidently blown into Tacoma Wash. They said in excess of 50,000 were irradiated. I guess there was no point in fessing up at the time it would have only worried people.
