High School Girls’ Soccer Roundup: Sage Hill opens season with shutout win
Senior forward Taylor Magliarditi had two goals as the Sage Hill School girls’ soccer team won at Saddleback 3-0 in its season opener Tuesday.
Sophomore Anika Nielsen added a goal for the Lightning, and freshman Sophia Lowe had two assists.
Lightning freshman Lexi Van Den Bosch and junior Sydney McCord controlled the middle well, assistant coach Megan Cid said, while sophomore Brooke Avedisian played solid defense the whole game.
Sage Hill plays Godinez in a nonleague game Thursday at 2:45 p.m. at Centennial Regional Park in Santa Ana.
