Police arrest man for alleged mail theft, possession of drug paraphernalia
A 21-year-old man was arrested Thursday after he was caught on surveillance footage breaking into and stealing mail from an apartment building mailbox last month, officials said.
Detectives reportedly recognized the man, identified as probationer Abel Guzman, from a previous case, said Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
He was arrested Thursday morning on the 400 block of Arden Avenue, where he was working at a commercial parking structure, Lightfoot said.
Police reportedly found a methamphetamine pipe on him and arrested him on suspicion of burglary and possessing drug paraphernalia. He also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
The burglary was reported last month in the parking structure of an apartment complex on the 1300 block of Columbus Avenue.
