Boys’ basketball: Sierra Canyon wins championship in Hawaii
Chatsworth Sierra Canyon (9-1) is coming home with the championship trophy from the Iolani Prep Classic in Hawaii.
The Trailblazers overcame a 12-point deficit to defeat Indiana La Lumiere, 53-48, in the championship game on Tuesday night. It was their ninth consecutive victory since losing to Moreau Catholic in the season opener.
Devearl Ramsey finished with 25 points and made all-tournament. Cody Riley was named tournament MVP. Also making all-tournament were Ira Lee and Remy Martin.
Fairfax (8-1) took third place with a 44-40 win over Utah Lone Peak. Freshman Ethan Anderson scored 13 points.
