Football: It’s a big weekend for Schwartz brothers from Palisades
Who could have imagined two brothers from Palisades High would be facing off against each other in an NFL game?
That’s what is scheduled to happen on Sunday when Geoff Schwartz, an offensive lineman with the Kansas City Chiefs, will take on his “little” brother, MItchell, an offensive lineman with the Cleveland Browns.
Both are Jewish, and their father, Lee, is proudly telling friends it’s the first time that Jewish brothers will be in the same game on opposite sides of the field.
Their mother has created a half and half jersey for the occasion.
The game has been circled on the Schwartz family calendar since schedules came out in April.
Lee is calling it a “magical weekend.”
