Celtics need overtime to subdue Raptors

at Boston 115, Toronto 109 (OT): Paul Pierce scored nine of his season-high 39 points in overtime and the Celtics swept a back-to-back, home-and-home series with the Raptors. One day after Ray Allen’s 36 points led Boston to a 94-88 win in Toronto, Pierce led a comeback from a 10-point deficit midway through the third quarter and carried Boston (31-9) to its second consecutive victory after it had lost four in a row.

Milwaukee 97, at Washington 91: Michael Redd scored 29 points and Andrew Bogut had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Bucks. The Wizards, whose Eastern Conference-worst record fell to 7-30, lost after leading in the fourth quarter for the 12th time this season.

at New Jersey 103, Oklahoma City 99 (OT): Rookie center Brook Lopez scored a career-high 31 points and had 13 rebounds for the Nets, who welcomed the return of Devin Harris after he’d missed four games because of a hamstring injury. The Thunder is 6-33, and 2-17 on the road.

Portland 109, at Chicago 95: Travis Outlaw scored a season-high 33 points and Greg Oden had 17 points and 13 rebounds, helping the Trail Blazers win on a quiet night by their top two scorers, Brandon Roy (11 points) and LaMarcus Aldridge (eight).

at Utah 120, Indiana 113: Mehmet Okur scored a career-high 43 points and the Jazz held off a rally by the Pacers, who trailed by 20 points late in the third quarter but would not let Utah clinch it until the final minute. Danny Granger had 30 points and seven assists for Indiana.
