Lakers promote executives Jesse Buss, Ryan West and Clay Moser
Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak announced three front-office promotions Friday.
Jesse Buss will join Glenn Carraro as the team’s second assistant general manager, while retaining his title as director of scouting. Buss is also a partial owner of the franchise.
As reported in August by The Times, Ryan West is now the Lakers’ director of player personnel, promoted from his role as assistant director of scouting.
Finally, assistant coach Clay Moser will additionally serve as director of basketball strategy.
Moser, heading into his fifth season with the organization, will work closely with the Lakers’ director of analytics, Yuju Lee, and associate director of analytics Aaron Danielson.
