Chip Kelly completes staff with hiring of Dana Bible as quarterbacks coach
UCLA coach Chip Kelly completed his staff on Tuesday by hiring Dana Bible as the team’s quarterbacks coach, the school announced.
Bible, who has more than 40 years of coaching experience at the college and NFL levels, served under Kelly as a senior advisor with the San Francisco 49ers during the 2016 season. He was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia in 2009 that he overcame during his most recent stops with the 49ers and at North Carolina State.
Bible, 64, has tutored current NFL quarterbacks Russell Wilson, Matt Ryan and Mike Glennon.
Kelly’s staff includes Roy Manning as outside linebackers and special teams coaches; Vince Oghobaase as defensive line coach; Jerry Azzinaro as defensive coordinator; Paul Rhoads as defensive backs coach; Don Pellum as inside linebackers coach; Jimmie Dougherty as wide receivers coach; DeShaun Foster as running backs coach; Hank Fraley as offensive line coach; and Angus McClure as tight ends coach.
