JAPAN VS. NETHERLANDS

Where: Vancouver, Canada.

Time: 7 p.m.

TV: FS1, NBC Universo, NBC Deportes.

The buzz: Japan is the tournament’s only remaining unbeaten, untied team, but it is certainly aware what happened to the other team that emerged from group play perfect: Brazil was eliminated by Australia, 1-0. And Japan, the defending World Cup champion, looks ripe for an upset as well, having won all three of its group games by just a goal — the last a 1-0 win over Ecuador, a team that allowed 16 goals in its first two games. The Netherlands, making its World Cup debut, also played three tight group-play matches, tying Canada in its last outing.
