Watch White Sox score when ball disappears after wild pitch
When did David Copperfield sign a deal with the Chicago White Sox?
During Tuesday’s game against the Kansas City Royals, the White Sox had runners on first and third with no outs in the top of the second inning. Royals pitcher Ervin Santana unleashed a pitch that got past catcher Salvador Perez.
Perez turned to chase the ball, but it had vanished. Paul Konerko, the runner on third, throws up his hands, wondering what to do before the umpire waves him home.
As you can see in the video above, the ball disappeared into one of the signs behind home plate.
“I never seen anything like that,” Santana said. “I was looking at Salvy and he was looking at me. I was like,’Where’s the ball?’ He’s like,’I don’t know!’ It was hard.”
