Preview: No. 19 USC vs. Arizona State
The Times’ Gary Klein and Lindsey Thiry preview No. 19 USC vs. Arizona State.
USC needs a win this week.
The Trojans, ranked 19th in the Associated Press poll, play Arizona State on Saturday in a meeting of Pac-12 Conference South Division foes.
USC fell to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in the Pac-12 last week with a 41-31 loss to Stanford.
Arizona State defeated New Mexico, 34-10, to improve to 2-1.
The Sun Devils have beaten the Trojans the last two seasons.
In 2013, coach Lane Kiffin was fired hours after a 62-41 defeat at Sun Devil Stadium.
Last season, Arizona State quarterback Mike Bercovici completed a Hail Mary pass as time expired to lift the Sun Devils to a 38-34 victory in the Coliseum.
The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and will air on ESPN.
