Lavo Casino Club debuts with Joe Manganiello on hand
Reporting from Las Vegas — The stars continued to rain down on Las Vegas on Saturday night with the opening of Lavo Casino Club; pop star Justin Bieber showed up at a pool party and actor and singer Jamie Foxx hosted a night on the Strip.
One of the biggest non-Floyd Mayweather vs. Andre Berto fight events of the weekend came when actor Joe Manganiello hosted the grand opening of Lavo Casino Club at the Palazzo on Saturday night. Manganiello tried his hand at blackjack and craps, and fans craned their necks to see the “Magic Mike” star as he gambled.
NFL star Shawne Merriman hosted the first Sunday football viewing party at the new club, which combines nightlife and gaming. The former football player nicknamed “Lights Out” played blackjack.
Over at Marquee Nightclub at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, rapper Puff Daddy hosted a post-fight party and performed hits such as “It’s All About the Benjamins” and “Mo Money Mo Problems” along with his new single “Finna Get Loose.”
Rapper Bow Wow joined Puff on stage and danced throughout the performance and hip-hop star Busta Rhymes also jumped on stage, sharing stories about their times in the studio together.
NBA star James Harden of the Houston Rockets was spotted taking in the party and stopped by Puff’s table to say hello.
Rapper Snoop Dogg returned to Tao Nightclub at the Venetian for another edition of his Snoopadelic Cabaret, entertaining fans with a performance of his hits during the 1920s themed party.
Singer and actor Jamie Foxx stopped by Wet Republic at the MGM Grand for a fight weekend retreat with a few friends on Saturday. The R&B artist headed to Hyde Bellagio that night to host. On the decks, he performed a mix of tunes by artists including Michael Jackson, Prince and Jay Z.
Also on Saturday, Justin Bieber surprised guests at Palms Pool & Dayclub when he stopped by for a quick onstage dance session with rapper Rich Homie Quan.
Over at 1 OAK Nightclub at the Mirage, professional poker player Dan Bilzerian hosted the party. A parade of cocktail waitresses showcased a giant Dan head and a photo of his pet goat, Zeus.
