Path cyclists followed through Marin

San Francisco to Sausalito & and Mill Valley:

    Begin at the San Francisco Ferry Building, at Embarcadero at Market Street. Take the ferry to Sausalito.
    From Sausalito, travel north on Bridgeway, hooking up with the dedicated bike path. Just before the entrance to U.S. 101, turn right onto Gate 6 road to visit the houseboats.
    From Gate 6 road, continue north on the dedicated bike path (just right of the entrance to U.S. 101) until you see the public restroom sign. Turn left off the path into the Mill Valley Middle School parking lot and onto Sycamore Street.
    At the stoplight, turn left onto Camino Alto, and then right onto Miller Avenue.
    Follow the green signs for Bike Route 10 to downtown Mill Valley.
    Sausalito ferry to downtown Mill Valley: six miles

Mill Valley to Tiburon:

    Head out of Mill Valley on Miller Avenue in the direction you came.
    Turn left onto Camino Alto at the traffic light, and then right onto Sycamore to bring you back to the dedicated path.
    Turn left onto the path until it ends at East Blithedale Avenue. Turn right onto East Blithedale, using caution where lanes merge at the merges onto U.S. 101.
    A green bike sign will direct you to turn right onto Greenwood Cove. Then follow the bike signs to Blackie’s pasture (look for the statue of the old horse) and the dedicated bike path that takes you into Tiburon.

Mill Valley to Tiburon: 663/47 miles

Tiburon to Larkspur:

    Leave Tiburon on Paradise Drive (at the end of Main Street near Guaymas restaurant). Follow Paradise Drive, passing Paradise Beach County Park and Paradise Cay.
    At the intersection of Paradise and San Clemente Drive, the bike path continues along San Clemente (going behind the Village at Corte Madera shopping center).
    At Wornum, turn left and pass under U.S. 101. At the intersection of Wornum and Tamal Vista, you will hook up with a dedicated bike path.
    Shortly after the path swings to the left and intersects with another bike path, bear right and then turn left onto William Street.
    At Magnolia Street, turn right. The sign for the Lark Creek Inn will be on your right.
    Tiburon to Lark Creek Inn, Larkspur: 1063/47 miles

The Lark Creek Inn to Larkspur Landing Ferry Terminal:

    Turn left out of the Lark Creek Inn’s drive onto Magnolia, then left again on William.
    Turn right onto the bike path, then left onto the NWP cutoff.
    Cross Tamal Vista and take Wornum under U.S. 101 to the light.
    Turn left at the light, and follow the bike path signs. (You will have to walk your bike along the narrow path that skirts U.S. 101.)
    Once over the overpass, turn right and look for the Larkspur Ferry Terminal.Lark Creek Inn to Larkspur Ferry: 263/47 miles

Total mileage: 2661/47 miles

Extra riding:
