Hundreds of day cares remain closed as a result of the fires

Parent and teacher volunteers worked from morning until dusk for nearly two weeks to get Woodbury Preschool Village cleaned and ready to reopen this week. The center is one of more than 300 child care facilities that closed during the L.A. fires, leaving scores of families scrambling for alternative care.
