Tiffany & Co. has thrown its pale baby blue hat in the ring to compete with venerable Brit stationer Smythson for the title of cutest personal diary. The new Tiffany ‘Little Blue Book’ sells for $45 and I must say that I adore that iconic shade of richer-than-you blue. Can you just picture Holly Golightly making out her to-do list:

1. Buy lots of Champers.

2. Drink lots of Champers.

On the other hand, the Smythson of Bond Street offers its own precious version, priced at $55.

Which little blue book would you rather carry? I am partial to the Smythson one because I like its sweet Victorian title: ‘Forget Me Not.’ Either one makes a smashing gift for any woman with or without indiscretions.
