Jason Wu, the designer of Michelle Obama’s frothy, cream, one-shouldered gown, won’t be reproducing the look for the masses, but www.edressme.com will.
The website has created a knockoff of the Wu gown. It is the same floor-length silhouette, with embellishment at the shoulder and texture throughout the skirt. But the knockoff is a strikingly brighter shade of white, rather than the soft ivory the first lady danced in.
The edressme.com version is available for pre-order now and will ship starting March 15. It’s $320 and would actually make a sweet wedding dress for brides on a budget.
