Yet more drug news (walking-specific, this time) for people with MS

It’s been a big drug news week for people with multiple sclerosis. Today, the Food and Drug Administration approved the first medication specifically to improve walking skills in people with MS.
‘In clinical trials, patients treated with Ampyra had faster walking speeds than those treated with an inactive pill (placebo)],’ the FDA announcement stated. One would hope so.

And here’s information from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on the walking problems that people with MS experience. Physical therapy can help, but often not enough.
