A former executive assistant at the Walt Disney Co. who conspired with her boyfriend to sell advance information about the entertainment giant’s finances was sentenced Tuesday to four months of home confinement.

Bonnie Hoxie pleaded guilty last fall to conspiring to sell confidential information that she gained access to as an assistant to Disney’s head of corporate communications, Zenia Mucha.

According to the criminal complaint, Hoxie obtained nonpublic information about Disney, including advance details about its second-quarter earnings. She shared the data with her boyfriend, Yonni Sebbag, for the purpose of selling it to outside investors in advance of the company’s earnings call.

Sebbag sent letters to 33 hedge funds and other investment companies, soliciting cash in exchange for the inside information. He was sentenced in January to 27 months in prison.

After her home confinement, Hoxie was ordered by a federal court in Manhattan to serve three years of probation and perform 100 hours of community service.
