The latest ‘Food & Beverage’ job listings board for Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas is a whopping 218 positions long. The listings include jobs for both the Wynn and the coming Wynn-adjacent Encore, which is scheduled to open by the end of the year (though the website is taking advance reservations beginning only as early as Feb. 6). Hiring for the Encore began on July 15 for a total of 5,300 positions at casino mogul Steve Wynn’s latest Strip hotel.
‘Food & Beverage’ jobs include assistant chef and pastry chef for a planned restaurant featuring ‘modern Italian-Mediterranean cuisine showcased in a jewelbox setting nestled inside the Encore Tower Suites’; ‘gourmet server’ at a ‘Modern Steakhouse’ with ‘beyond-the-curve steaks and modern American fare as bold and voluptuous as the original art that graces the space’; a butcher (‘responsible for daily production of meats, poultry, fish, patties and sausages’) and assistant head butcher; and a long list of chef de partie and ‘Cook I & II’ jobs. There’s also a position for ‘mini-bar attendant,’ responsible for restocking the mini-bars ... In a hotel with 2,034 rooms, sounds like a big job.
