Yet more burger kings

The burgers -- they just don’t stop. The new Bon Appetit blog BA Foodist ponders the continuing burgeoning of burgers from high-end chefs. (Even Michelin three-star chefs in Paris have caught on to the burger, according to the New York Times.)
Foodist lists the celebrity chef-driven burger spots around the country, including Laurent Tourondel’s new BLT Burger in Las Vegas, Thomas Keller’s planned Burgers and Half-Bottles in Yountville, Calif., and Daniel Boulud’s coming burger bar on Bowery in New York. I think Govind Armstrong’s newly opened 8 oz. in Hollywood is missing from the list.
As reported by the Chicago Tribune, Marcus Samuelsson’s Marc Burger opened in Chicago last week and another is expected for Costa Mesa, at the South Coast Plaza Macy’s -- the perfect storm of celebrity chef meets burger meets mall.
