Ex-Dodgers Manager Jim Tracy, who fainted at the winter meetings two months ago, said he is heading to the Rockies’ new spring training home in Scottsdale, Ariz., feeling like a new person.

Tracy told the Associated Press’ Janie McCauley he had fainted three times and often felt fatigued since being diagnosed with high blood pressure while managing the Dodgers in 2003.

He was diagnosed after his latest spell with an irregular heartbeat. After a battery of tests back in Denver, his doctor adjusted his blood pressure meds and eliminated his diuretic.

‘I’m doing better than I was doing physically at any point during the course of the 2010 season,’ said Tracy. ‘I just didn’t need as much medicine. And I needed that little tap on the shoulder from upstairs that I needed to go in for a little tuneup.’
