Betty White, everybody’s favorite octogenarian, will star in a new comic book, part of the ‘Female Force’ biography series from Bluewater Comics.
White’s acting career spans more than 70 years; she is best known for her television roles, particularly ‘Golden Girls,’ ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show’ and a recent hosting gig on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ which she did earlier this year, at age 88.
This, however, will be her first starring role in a comic.
The comic book, ‘Female Force: Betty White’ will be just 32 pages. ‘The biggest challenge that the creative team behind this book faced was figuring out how to include as much of this career as possible in one comic,’ said Bluewater founder Darren Davis in a press release.
Other women in the series include Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Caroline Kennedy, Princess Diana, Condoleezza Rice and Sarah Palin.
‘Female Force: Betty White’ is written by Patrick McCray and illustrated by Todd Tennant. The publication will be available in stores and from Amazon.com in November; it will retail for $3.99.
