After 12 years in business, Windowbox.com is closing its Vernon warehouse. But before it does, the small space gardening supply site will host a final sale featuring more than 50% off on more than half its inventory. Discounted merchandise includes germination trays (regularly $35, now $15), hanging flower baskets (reduced from $24.99 to $5), and trowels (reduced from $10 to $3). The ready-to-plant herb garden with pots and tray shown here, normally $12, is marked down to $5. Windowsill gardens-in-a bag are a buck a piece.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25-26. Teachers get first dibs on Thursday, Sept. 24, also from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 3821 S. Santa Fe, Vernon. (323) 277-1137; (888) GARDEN-BOX.
