Feb. 25: Thursday Garden Talks With Lili Singer continues with the Los Angeles County Arboretum’s curator of living collections, Jim Henrich, who will discuss “Three Tantalizing Taxa.” The morning ends with a tour of the orchid collection, with details on its diversity and acquisition protocols. 9:30 a.m. to noon. $20. 301 N. Feb. 26: David White, executive director of the Center for Regenerative Agriculture in Ojai, will discuss permaculture. 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the SBCC West Campus, Fe Bland Auditorium, 721 Cliff Drive. $12. Feb. 27: Internationally recognized bonsai masters will share their art form in the Bonsai-a-Thon, which includes exhibits, demonstrations, prize drawings, a “bonsai bazaar,” and a live auction at 3 p.m. each day.
