Heath Ceramics’ annual sale starts this morning, and almost everything in the Los Angeles store (and Sausalito factory) is 20% off, through Nov. 28. That includes Heath’s classic dinnerware, Adam Silverman’s pottery, glassware, flatware, tile, books, Bariani olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and linens by the Belgian firm Libeco and the L.A. design studio Commune. Already-discounted dinnerware seconds with minor flaws will be marked down an additional 20%.
Seasonal pieces are included in the sale too. The limited-edition tray and mugs shown above, designed by Edith Heath, are regularly $195; on sale they are $156. A pair of mugs regularly sold for $70 will be $56.
Gallery items -- pieces from Silverman’s and Heath’s most recent collaboration with wood sculptor Alma Allen and Commune -- are excluded from the sale.
Customers can get a behind-the-scenes look at Heath’s Los Angeles studio on Saturday and Sunday, including demonstrations and talks with potter Silverman as well as kiln-baked cookies and a holiday craft table to keep kids occupied while you sip Prosecco. (Tip: The Coolhaus ice cream truck will be parked outside the store from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.)
