Crime alerts for Hollywood Hills West and two other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in three L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
One neighborhood reported a significant increase in violent crime. Hollywood Hills West (A) recorded five reports compared with a weekly average of 0.4 over the last three months.
Rancho Park (B) topped the list of two neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded nine property crimes compared with its weekly average of 4.8 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Nov. 19–Nov. 25, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
