Woman killed in Lynwood shooting

Homicide detectives Thursday evening were investigating the shooting death of a woman in Lynwood.
The woman was shot in the 11000 block of South Alameda Street and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The victim’s name and age were not released. No other details were immediately available.
Since January 2007, at least 42 homicides have been reported in Lynwood, according to the Times Homicide Report database.
